## Synopsis

Walking with Dinosaurs (2025) is a British documentary miniseries broadcast on BBC One, produced with ZDF, France Télévisions and BBC Studios Science Unit. Presented in narration by Bertie Carvel, the six-episode run gives each installment to one dinosaur whose remains are being excavated by world-leading dinosaur hunters. As each skeleton emerges from the ground, its prehistoric life is reconstructed with state-of-the-art visual effects, so the animals are followed through their days as dramatic individual stories rather than as a catalogue of species. The engine of each episode is the gap between what the bones reveal and what the animal must have faced, with the excavation supplying the clues that drive the narrative forward. The overall shape is a single-season limited series, with each episode self-contained around its own creature. Its tone is educational and wondrous, aimed at families and young viewers, and it sits in the tradition of British natural history programming in the vein of Planet Earth II and Walking with Beasts. Fans of prehistoric spectacle will find the series a grounded, science-led take on the dinosaur era.
