## Synopsis

Clevatess (2025-2026) is a Japanese seinen dark fantasy anime adapted from a manga, broadcast on AT-X and produced by Lay-duce, KADOKAWA and Crunchyroll partners. The story follows Clevatess, one of the Lords of Dark Beasts, whose reign collapses when he revives the hero he personally slew and takes in an orphaned humanoid baby, the last hope for a dying world. Voiced by Yuichi Nakamura as Clevatess, the series builds around the unlikely household he forms with the revived hero Alicia (Haruka Shiraishi) and the infant Luna (Saya Aizawa), with Mutsumi Tamura voicing Clen in the wider company. Its engine is simple and grounded in quarrel and duty: a fearsome beast king must protect a fragile child while sharing a fragile truce with a hero who has every reason to hate him. Across two seasons and twenty-five episodes, the story unfolds as one continuing journey rather than isolated adventures, with fantasy battles punctuating quieter scenes of domestic awkwardness. The tone is intense and sometimes harrowing, carrying violent stakes beneath its moments of tenderness. Viewers who enjoy Made in Abyss, Overlord and Re:Zero will find the same mix of dark fantasy, reluctant family bonds and high-stakes adventure.
