## Synopsis

Camaleones (2009-2010) is a Mexican telenovela crime series created by Gustavo Barrios and Diana Segovia for Las Estrellas, produced by Televisa. Belinda plays Valentina Izaguirre and Alfonso Herrera plays Sebastian Jaramillo, two young thieves nicknamed Los Camaleones who are manipulated by a shadowy figure known as El Amo into stealing artworks and valuable jewelry. If they fail, their imprisoned loved ones face death, so each theft becomes a fraught test of nerve and loyalty. Their forced partnership slowly grows into a romance tangled with danger. Opposing them is police chief Augusto Ponce de Leon (Guillermo Garcia Cantu), who leads the hunt for the Camaleon case to secure a political post and expand his power, while his estranged wife Francisca Campos (Edith Gonzalez) and daughter Solange (Sherlyn) orbit his compromised world. The series unfolds as a single serialized run of 135 episodes, with melodramatic reversals, family betrayals and suspense driven by heists and manhunts. Its tone mixes heightened emotion, romantic longing and urgent crime plotting. Fans of Rebelde, La Reina del Sur and Money Heist will find resonance in its blend of romance and criminal intrigue.
