## Synopsis

Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube (2025-present) is a Japanese animated supernatural comedy series produced for TV Asahi, adapted from the manga by Shueisha and animated by Studio KAI, Toei Animation and REMOW. Its gentle, slightly outgoing homeroom teacher Nube hides a secret: he is said to be the only psychic teacher in Japan, and his left hand is rumored to be possessed by a demon. Each episode follows him as he arrives in the town of Domori, where inexplicable phenomena threaten the pupils of his elementary school. His goal is simple but urgent, to protect every child in his class from the ghosts, evil spirits and school mysteries that keep surfacing around them. The show's structure is largely episodic, built around self-contained encounters with classic school legends and yokai-like menaces, with the everyday rhythms of classroom life and lighthearted romcom beats cutting against the creepier material. Voice cast members including Ryotaro Okiayu, Ryoko Shiraishi and Aya Suzaki bring the characters to life. Fans of GeGeGe no Kitaro, Mob Psycho 100 and Jujutsu Kaisen will find resonance in its blend of spooky folklore, humor and a reluctant hero defending the vulnerable. The mood is playful with an undercurrent of unease, suited to viewers who enjoy monster-of-the-week anime with heart.
