## Synopsis

Confidence Queen (2025) is a South Korean crime comedy series broadcast on TV Chosun, a single-season run of twelve one-hour episodes. Park Min-young plays Yoon Yi-rang, a con artist who joins forces with James (Park Hee-soon) and Myung Gu-ho (Joo Jong-hyuk), two fellow tricksters from very different backgrounds. Their engine is a shared appetite for revenge against the powerful villains of their time, and each episode is built around a self-contained scheme in which the team sets up a mark, stages an elaborate ruse, and extracts a payoff while exposing the wrongdoing behind it. Supporting turns from Jung Woong-in as Jeon Tae-su and Hyun Bong-sik as Mr. Mule add rivals and go-betweens who complicate each plan. The result is a case-of-the-week caper with a light, playful register: breezy, sleek and buoyant rather than grim, with the satisfaction of watching the grifters outmaneuver their targets. Fans of Leverage and Hustle will find resonance in its ensemble of clever swindlers and its blend of crime plotting with comedic warmth, and viewers who enjoy Korean crime comedies will feel at home in its brisk, accessible storytelling.
