## Synopsis

Shades (2025) is a Spanish crime mystery series created by Sergio Cánovas, Javier Naya and Álex Meriweather for SkyShowtime. Renowned psychiatrist Tomás Marlow (Eusebio Poncela) gathers six of his most difficult patients at a remote winery to complete his celebrated treatment, a method with an extraordinarily high cure rate. The patients include Eviana Marlow (Elsa Pataky), César Graf (Luis Tosar), Cecilio Rodríguez (Maxi Iglesias) and Ana Morantes (Juana Acosta). Their confinement takes a sinister turn after an unusual ceremonial tasting, and the isolated estate becomes a pressure chamber where long-buried wounds surface. Once an astute police inspector takes over the case, the story shifts into an investigation that peels back layers of secrecy about the doctor and the traumas of everyone in his care. Across eight episodes of roughly thirty-three minutes each, the series builds a single continuing mystery in a single-season limited run. Its mood is unsettling, claustrophobic and psychologically intense, with a slow, deliberate pace that rewards close attention. Fans of Big Little Lies, The Affair and Hannibal will find resonance in its fractured characters, charismatic manipulation and steadily unravelling secrets.
