## Synopsis

Be Passionately in Love (2025) is a Chinese youth romance drama series created by Er Dong Tu Zi for Tencent Video, a single-season run of twenty-four episodes of roughly forty-seven minutes each. Adapted from a web novel, it follows Xu Zhi (Liu Haocun), who becomes the top performer at Ruijun Middle School after her college entrance examination and expects her hard-won success to feel like a clean victory. Instead she finds herself unexpectedly defeated in love, and her emotional life grows tangled with classmates and rivals, including Chen Luzhou (Wang Anyu) and Zhu Yangqi (Wu Hankun). Cai Yingying (Zhang Xinyi) and Xu Guangqi (Sun Zhihong) fill out the supporting circle of school friends and family. Each episode is built from classroom rivalries, whispered confessions, family pressures and the small humiliations of adolescence, so the central engine is the clash between academic ambition and the unruly pull of first love. The tone is sweet, intense and often melodramatic, with a wistful undercurrent about youth. Campus romance fans who enjoy Meteor Garden and the emotional sincerity of Blue Spring will find a familiar pleasure here, an accessible soap-inflected story about growing up in mainland China.
