## Synopsis

Dexter: Resurrection (2025-present) is an American crime drama revival created by Clyde Phillips for Paramount+ with Showtime. Michael C. Hall returns as Dexter Morgan, a former vigilante serial killer who awakens from a coma and travels to New York City determined to find his son Harrison, played by Jack Alcott. Their search is complicated by Miami Metro detective Angel Batista (David Zayas), whose questions pull Dexter's buried past back into view. Uma Thurman joins the principal cast as Charley Brown, and the story leans on the strained bonds between father and son. The engine is simple and tense: a man who has built a careful double life must keep his secrets hidden while hunting for the child he has lost, with every new lead threatening to expose him. The series is a single ongoing season of twenty episodes, each carrying a serialized arc with a procedural edge. Set in present-day New York City and Miami, it carries the dark, moody atmosphere of its predecessor, with violence, moral unease and a brooding tone. Fans of Dexter, Hannibal and Breaking Bad will find resonance in its morally compromised antihero, its crime investigations and its prestige-drama texture. The story remains grounded in contemporary Earth, and the revival keeps the original's cool, interior perspective on a killer trying to make things right.
