## Synopsis

Adults (2025-present) is an American comedy series created by Ben Kronengold and Rebecca Shaw for FX and FXX. Malik Elassal plays Samir Rahman, Lucy Freyer plays Billie Schaeffer, Jack Innanen plays Paul Baker, Amita Rao plays Issa Damani, and Owen Thiele plays Anton Evans, a circle of twenty-somethings sharing life in New York who keep trying to be decent people while being neither particularly good nor fully grown. The engine of the show is their daily scramble: romantic tangles, awkward jobs, money worries and the small social disasters that follow when friends try to do the right thing and get it wrong. Each episode is built from random hijinks that spill out of their shared living space, and the story grows across two seasons with a running sense of conflicting relationships. The mood is breezy, irreverent and bluntly modern, with a queer-inclusive ensemble and an easygoing, low-stakes charm. Viewers who enjoy the chaotic housemate energy of New Girl, the self-absorbed city restlessness of Broad City and the messy young adult honesty of Girls will find a familiar pleasure here. Tone is loose and conversational, and the appeal lies in watching these characters slowly earn affection despite themselves.
