## Synopsis

Mate (2024-2025) is a Thai girls love drama series created by Chao Planoy for Amarin TV, a single-season run of twelve episodes. Kenlong (Budsarin Wonglelanont) has always had beauty, wealth and brains, and she treats perfection as her standard, especially in matters of the heart. Her carefully built life is thrown into disorder when she reunites with her childhood friend Oengoei (Ponchanok Theerawan), an innocent and carefree young woman. As their paths keep crossing, Kenlong finds herself drawn to Oengoei, and the attraction becomes a forbidden one that tests everything she has arranged around herself. Supporting characters including Great (Thapanat Athikompokin), Mean (Palita Visitsak), Dokfai (Thanaporn Suriyakham) and Thot (Chawinroj Likitchareonsakul) surround the central pair with friendships and social pressure. The series unfolds as a contemporary Thai lakorn in the polished style of the form, with glossy urban settings, emotionally charged confrontations and a slow-building romantic tension. Its tone is wistful and tender, with moments of longing and quiet tension rather than spectacle. Viewers who enjoy Thai girls love dramas such as Bad Buddy and Love Next Door, or the romantic intensity of Gap the Series, will find a familiar and absorbing emotional pull here.
