## Synopsis

The Shiunji Family Children (2025) is a Japanese animated romantic comedy series created as a Doga Kobo production and aired on AT-X, adapted from a seinen manga. Set in a crowded mansion in Tokyo's Setagaya ward, the story follows Arata Shiunji, the eldest son tired of being pushed around by his five sisters, who dreams of a life free of them. His daydreams end when his father reveals that Arata is not biologically related to his sisters, a revelation that turns familiar household squabbles into awkward, charged new territory. The engine of the series is the tension between comfort and attraction as each sibling navigates the changed bond across a single twelve-episode season of brisk, self-contained comedic episodes threaded with romantic escalation. The tone is breezy and flirtatious, with farcical domestic scenes that lean into the awkwardness of a wealthy, busy household. Fans of Kaguya-sama: Love Is War and My Stepmother's Daughter Is My Ex will find resonance in its blend of romcom timing and familial romantic tension.
