## Synopsis

The Amazing Digital Circus (2023-2026) is an Australian animated dark comedy science fiction series created by Gooseworx for Netflix and YouTube. Pomni (voiced by Lizzie Freeman) wakes up inside a bright, glitching virtual circus alongside five other humans, all of them at the mercy of a flamboyant AI ringmaster Caine (voiced by Alex Rochon). Together with fellow captives Jax (voiced by Michael Kovach), Ragatha (voiced by Amanda Hufford) and Gangle (voiced by Marissa Lenti), she must navigate a shifting digital world that hides frightening creatures and endless absurd tasks. The engine of the series is the struggle to escape a rigged game while each character wrestles with the personal traumas that brought them there. Each of the nine half-hour episodes is built around a fresh set of dangers and psychological confrontations, forming a single self-contained season with a continuing arc. The tone blends whimsical circus colour with existential dread, sardonic humour and uneasy melancholy. Fans of Rick and Morty, Lost and Black Mirror will find resonance in its mix of surreal absurdism and trapped-in-a-machine unease. The series carries a positive audience reception, rated 8.4 out of 10 for its single season.
