## Synopsis

Envious (2024-2026) is an Argentine romantic comedy series created for Netflix, produced in Buenos Aires and originally titled Envidiosa. Griselda Siciliani plays Vicky Mori, an almost forty woman rebuilding her life after a devastating breakup and throwing herself into the dating scene with more hope than strategy. Esteban Lamothe plays Matías Larsen, one of the romantic prospects who complicates her quest, while Pilar Gamboa plays Caro Mori, a sister whose own life gives Vicky both comfort and sharp comparison. The engine of the show is a steady run of awkward dates, friends' advice, and romantic missteps, each episode built around a new attempt at love that exposes what Vicky actually wants. Across four seasons and roughly forty-three episodes of about half an hour, the story stays serialized, letting her circle of gal pals and her evolving relationships carry the arc forward. The tone is witty, candid, and warm, with comic embarrassment giving way to moments of genuine vulnerability about envy, longing, and self-respect. Fans of Sex and the City, Fleabag, and Girls will find resonance in its frank midlife dating humor and its close female friendships, all wrapped in a Latin American setting that makes its romance feel intimate and specific.
