## Synopsis

Witch Watch (2025-present) is a Japanese animated romantic comedy series adapted from a manga and produced by Bibury Animation Studios, a shounen anime set in a contemporary Japanese high school. Its diligent protagonist, a teen whose name is voiced by Rina Kawaguchi in the Japanese cast, winds up sharing a home with his spunky childhood friend, a trainee witch named Nico Wakatsuki, who is voiced by Rina Kawaguchi and whose safety is threatened by a dire prophecy. Supporting roles include classmates voiced by Ryota Suzuki, Kohei Amasaki, and Kaito Ishikawa. The engine of each episode is the awkward daily grind of school life, with classroom routines, friendship politics, and a crush-driven household colliding with magical danger that keeps pressing closer. The show runs as a single season of 25 episodes with a 24-minute runtime, and it balances light comic beats with warm, affectionate moments between its leads. Its tone is bright, playful, and gently romantic, with a comforting slice of life rhythm that never fully loses sight of the threat looming over them. Fans of Rosario + Vampire, Kaguya-sama: Love Is War, and Kiki's Delivery Service will find resonance in its blend of supernatural premise, school romcom awkwardness, and witchy charm.
