## Synopsis

Second Shot At Love (2025) is a South Korean romantic comedy series created by Jeong Ji-hyeon and Myung Soo-Hyun for tvN. Sooyoung Choi plays Han Geum-ju, a woman raised in a family of alcoholics who is trying to escape her own drunkenness, and Gong Myoung plays Seo Eui-joon, a man who believes alcohol is not a cure but an anesthetic. Their romance develops through the friction of two opposed views on drinking, and the series follows their daily lives, friendships, and family pressures in contemporary Seoul. Supporting roles from Jo Yoon-hee, Kim Sung-ryung, and Kim Sang-ho fill out the circle of family and friends who react to each change in the leads' habits. The engine of the series is the push and pull between a heroine trying to change and a hero who resists easy answers, with each episode built from small comic confrontations, awkward dates, and tender confessions. Running as a single 12-episode season of roughly sixty-five minutes each, it is a self-contained romcom rather than a long serial. The tone is playful and warm, with a sincere undercurrent about dependence and recovery. Fans of Something in the Rain, Crash Landing on You, and Work Later, Drink Now will find resonance in its grown-up romance and light comic touch.
