## Synopsis

FlashForward (2009-2010) is an American ABC network science fiction mystery drama created by David S. Goyer and Brannon Braga. When the entire world blacks out for two minutes and seventeen seconds, every person sees a flash of their own life six months in the future. FBI agent Mark Benford (Joseph Fiennes) leads the investigation into the global event while struggling with what his own vision revealed about his family, his marriage to Olivia Benford (Sonya Walger), and his career. Demetri Noh (John Cho), a physicist and colleague, and Stanford Wedeck (Courtney B. Vance), a fellow agent, help chase clues across the world as personal destinies shift under the weight of foreknowledge. The single season of twenty-two episodes is a serialized mystery built around a mass event and the characters' attempts to change what they saw. Each episode alternates procedural investigation with intimate dread about the future. The tone is anxious, mournful and tense, with a grounded contemporary American setting. Fans of Lost, The X-Files and Heroes will find resonance in its global mystery and ordinary people facing extraordinary knowledge.
