## Synopsis

Detectives These Days Are Crazy! (2025) is a Japanese seinen anime comedy series created for AT-X and produced by LIDENFILMS and Ultra Super Pictures, running for a single twelve-episode season of roughly 24 minutes each. Once a legendary detective, Nagumo Keiichiro (voiced by Junichi Suwabe) has drifted into a quiet middle age, baffled by smartphones and the rhythms of modern life. His retirement is interrupted when Mashiro (voiced by Kana Hanazawa), a bold high school girl, bursts into his office demanding to become his apprentice. Nagumo is rusty and set in his ways, and the engine of the show is the friction between his stubbornness and her relentless enthusiasm as she drags him back into casework. Taro Nezu (voiced by Kengo Kawanishi) fills out the supporting cast. Each episode is built around a self-contained case-of-the-week, with absurd eccentric suspects and offbeat gags. The tone is breezy, irreverent and warmly deadpan, a gap-bridging odd couple comedy with a mischievous edge. Fans of Detective Conan, Gintama and Brooklyn Nine-Nine will find resonance in its blend of mystery plotting and playful character comedy.
