## Synopsis

LOL: Last One Laughing UK (2025-present) is a British reality comedy competition series for Prime Video, hosted by dark humour comic Jimmy Carr. Ten of Britain's funniest comedians, including Bob Mortimer, Richard Ayoade, Rob Beckett, Lou Sanders and Daisy May Cooper, spend a single day together under one rule: nobody may crack a smile. Each contestant uses stand-up craft, improvised heckling and cutting observations to break the others while keeping a straight face themselves. The engine is pure pressure, since every laugh costs a player the round and every glance across the room is a possible tell. Episodes run around thirty-one minutes and the show is built as a fast, lightly structured format with a rotating cast across its seasons, so each run feels like a fresh contest rather than one continuing story. The tone is dry, sardonic and frequently breathless, with the host's deadpan delivery setting the tempo. Viewers who enjoy the competitive banter of Taskmaster or the original Dutch Last One Laughing will find the same appeal here, a studio of sharp minds trying not to give in. The format suits anyone who enjoys watching professional wit tested under pressure.
