## Synopsis

Secrets We Keep (2025) is a Danish national-television crime thriller miniseries created by Ingeborg Topsøe for Netflix. Across six episodes of roughly 38 minutes each, Marie Bach Hansen plays Cecilie, a woman in a seemingly flawless wealthy Copenhagen suburb who begins searching for answers when the au pair of a neighboring household disappears. Her quest pushes her past manicured lawns and dinner party small talk into the lives of the people around her, and each episode peels back another layer of concealed behavior. The supporting cast includes Excel Busano as Angel, Danica Ćurčić as Katarina, and Sara Fanta Traore as Aicha, whose connections to the missing woman complicate every assumption Cecilie holds. The engine of the story is a single investigation told in a steady, unsettling line, where every discovery threatens the comfortable image Cecilie has built. Its tone is tense and paranoid, with a restrained, glossy palette that makes the suburban setting feel quietly oppressive. Viewers drawn to the class tensions of Big Little Lies, the cold procedural dread of The Killing, and the Scandinavian moral unease of The Bridge will find a compact, self-contained mystery with a sharp social edge.
