## Synopsis

Love in the Clouds (2025) is a Chinese web fantasy romance series created by Bai Lu and Cheng Shuang, produced by Seasons Pictures and aired on Youku. Hou Minghao plays Ji Bozai, a warrior from the Jixing Abyss with a past as a convict who rises to fame after defeating the reigning champion at the annual Qingyun Conference in the Hexu Six Realms. Lu Yuxiao plays Ming Yi, the cold warrior goddess who has ruled the tournaments for years and now hides her true identity behind a dancer's disguise to get close to him. The engine of the story is a tense game of mutual deception, where each lead pursues a personal agenda while wrestling with attraction and a growing wish to fight for justice and fairness. The single season of thirty-six episodes is one continuing romantic arc, with each chapter built around rivalries, tournament politics and secret personas. Set in an invented martial realm of clans, abysses and glittering courts, the series is a costume drama with a wistful, heartfelt register, its emotional core resting on childhood trauma and slow healing. Fans of Eternal Love, The Untamed and Ashes of Love will find resonance in its blend of xianxia spectacle and tender romance.
