## Synopsis

Every Minute Counts (2024-2025) is a Mexican scripted drama created by Jorge Michel Grau for Prime Video. Set in 1985 Mexico City, it follows a doctor with a dark past, played by Osvaldo Benavides as Ángel, alongside a journalist chasing fame, Maya Zapata as Camila, and a family in distress, with Antonio de la Vega as Ignacio among the principal figures. When a catastrophic earthquake buries thousands of people, these characters throw themselves into rescue attempts amid collapsed buildings, hospital chaos and desperate searches through rubble. Each episode is built from the immediate pressure of the rescue effort, with the moral and personal stakes of every decision pushing the characters toward confrontation with their own pasts. The show spans two seasons of ten episodes each, forming one continuing story in which the disaster remains the central engine and the aftermath shapes everyone's choices. Its tone is intense and emotionally raw, moving between visceral urgency and quieter moments of guilt, hope and renewal. Fans of Chernobyl and Station Eleven will find resonance in its human-scale portrait of catastrophe, where ordinary people are tested under collapse.
