## Synopsis

Son Pari (2000-2004) is an Indian Hindi-language family fantasy series created for StarPlus. The story follows Fruity, a young girl who receives a magical ball that, when rubbed, summons a fairy named Son Pari and her friend Altu. Played by Tanvi Hegde as Fruity and Tooty, the girl is the emotional center, while Mrinal Kulkarni plays the fairy Son Pari, whose magic keeps interfering with the ordinary worries of an Indian household. Vivek Mushran as Rohit, Fruity's father, and Shashikala as Daadi, her grandmother, anchor the family scenes, and Kaivalya Chheda as Jeff D'Souza, her best friend, adds a second youthful thread. Ashok Lokhande plays Altamash, known as Altu, the fairy's companion. The engine is simple: magic granted by the ball creates small domestic complications that the characters must untangle with warmth and humour. Each episode is self-contained within one long continuing run of 268 episodes, making it a single-season daily format rather than a case-of-the-week procedural. The tone is cozy, whimsical and gently comic, with a wholesome and hopeful register. Viewers who enjoy Bewitched, I Dream of Jeannie and Sabrina the Teenage Witch will find a similar pleasure in magic disrupting family life.
