## Synopsis

Light of My Lion (2024) is a Japanese television drama series created by Koji Tokuo for TBS. Its quiet premise follows Hiroto Komori (Yuya Yagira), an artist with autism, and his devoted older brother Michito Komori (Ryota Bando), whose predictable life together is interrupted when a mysterious little boy appears, known simply as Lion (Tasuku Sato). The engine of the series is the slow unraveling of that puzzle while the brothers adjust their routines, their relationships, and their understanding of one another. Each episode unfolds in small, observational moments of daily life, with neighbours and acquaintances such as Makimura Mio (Asuka Saito) drifting in and out of the household. Running for a single eleven-episode season of roughly forty-five minutes each, it is a contained, character-driven piece rather than a sprawling saga. The tone is gentle, wistful and humane, with a mystery that stays low-key and emotional rather than thrilling. Its portrait of neurodivergent life is sympathetic and unhurried. Fans of Atypical and the quiet Japanese domestic drama Our Little Sister will find resonance in its warmth and restraint.
