## Synopsis

Odyssey 5 (2002-2004) is a Canadian-American science fiction series created by Manny Coto for Showtime. Astronaut Chuck Taggart (Peter Weller) leads a crew of five from the Odyssey spacecraft after they witness Earth implode from orbit. Sent back five years by an alien force, Chuck and his crew, including Kurt Mendel (Sebastian Roche) and Neil Taggart (Christopher Gorham), must uncover the cause of the catastrophe and prevent it while a vast conspiracy works to stop them. Each episode builds the mission in a steady, procedural way, with the crew moving through the paranoia of a world that does not yet know what is coming. The show spans a single season of twenty episodes, a serialized science fiction drama with a cerebral, claustrophobic edge. Fans of Dark, Battlestar Galactica and 12 Monkeys will find resonance in its time travel mystery, its dread-filled tension and its focus on a small team against enormous stakes.
