## Synopsis

To Be Hero X (2025) is a Chinese donghua superhero series created by Li Haoling and released as an original net animation on bilibili. It follows a world in which heroes draw their powers from the trust of the public, and a hero who loses fan trust loses their abilities. Each hero's trust value is quantified and displayed on their wrist, determining their ranking among peers. Protagonist Ahu, voiced by Zhang Fuzheng, and fellow hero Lucky Cyan, voiced by Zhao Shuang, sit among the characters whose standing rises and falls with public opinion, while Yang Cheng, voiced by Yang Kaiqi, takes on the New E-Soul identity. The engine of the series is the biennial tournament where the top heroes fight to reset their trust values and earn new rankings, with each episode built around competitive battles, rivalries and the pressure of staying popular. The single season runs twenty-four episodes in a brisk, vibrant register, mixing intense action with the anxiety of a world where celebrity and power are the same currency. Fans of My Hero Academia, One Punch Man and Soul Land will find resonance in its superhero spectacle and ranking-driven stakes.
