## Synopsis

Action Man: A.T.O.M. (2005-2007) is a French-American animated action adventure series created by Paul-Patrick Duval and Ariane Desrieux and aired on Toon Disney. Five teenagers, Axel Manning, Catalina Leone, Crey Kingston, Zack Hawkes, and Ollie Sharker, known as the Alpha Teens, test prototype vehicles and weapons for the Lee Industries corporation in the fictional Landmark City. Their engine is simple and brisk: each episode pits them against criminals, most notably the sadistic Alexander Paine, and the gadgets they test become their weapons in the field. Voiced by Clancy Brown as Paine, Tom Kenny as Mr. Lee and Spydah, and Brian Donovan as Ollie, the show runs fifty-two episodes across two seasons and is built as a self-contained action format rather than a continuing serial. Its tone is bright, energetic and kid-friendly, with a fast-paced sense of adventure and a clear line between heroes and villains. Set in a near-present metropolis of gleaming technology, it sits in the lineage of Saturday morning action cartoons, and fans of Teen Titans, Jonny Quest and Generator Rex will find a similar appeal in its teen team dynamic and gadget-driven missions.
