## Synopsis

Art Detectives (2025-present) is a British-produced crime drama series created by Dan Gaster, Will Ing and Paul Powell and distributed on Acorn TV. Set in contemporary London, it follows DI Mick Palmer (Stephen Moyer), an art-loving detective who leads the Metropolitan Police's smallest department, the Heritage Crime Unit. Alongside him, PC Shazia Malik (Nina Singh) and Rosa Conaghan (Sarah Alexander) bring specialist knowledge to cases built around stolen paintings, forged antiques, collectibles and other objects of cultural heritage. Each episode works as a self-contained case of the week, with the investigation driven by close examination of provenance, craftsmanship and the people who value these objects. The series is a single six-episode season with a measured, cerebral pace and a warm, curious tone, where expertise and patience matter as much as chase scenes. Its British police procedural tradition sits in the company of Midsomer Murders and Bones, and fans of cozy, character-led mysteries will find a comfortable home in its blend of artistic passion and methodical detection.
