## Synopsis

Law and the City (2025) is a South Korean legal romance miniseries created by Park Seung-woo for tvN. Lee Jong-suk plays Ahn Ju-hyeong, a lawyer admired for his good looks and straightforward manner who has spent nine years at Gyeongmin Law Firm. Mun Ka-young plays Kang Hee-ji, a fellow lawyer whose presence unsettles his routine, while Kang You-seok, Ryu Hye-young and Im Sung-jae fill out the firm's working circle. The engine of the story is the slow tension between a professional reputation built on composure and the private feelings that refuse to stay filed away. Each of the twelve roughly seventy-minute episodes moves between client cases, office rivalries and quiet late-night conversations, so the legal matters serve as scaffolding for character. The result is a single continuous arc told across one short season. Set in present-day Seoul, the series keeps a calm, hopeful register, with an intimate, unhurried rhythm. Viewers who enjoy Suits for its workplace polish, or Extraordinary Attorney Woo for its blend of courtroom work and romance, will find a similar pleasure here.
