## Synopsis

El Centro (2025-present) is a Spanish national-television espionage thriller created by David Moreno for Movistar Plus. Set in the present day, with echoes of the Cold War, it follows the agents of the National Intelligence Center of Spain (CNI). Juan Diego Botto plays Michelín and Tristán Ulloa plays Enrique Adaro, veterans who lead a team including Clara Segura as Aitana Huarte and Elena Martín Gimeno as Elsa Díaz. The engine is a murder that exposes an international operation run by Russian intelligence, sending the agency into a race against time to dismantle it while they also hunt a traitor among their own ranks. Each episode is built from surveillance, interrogations, and tense back-room maneuvering, with loyalties constantly in doubt. The series runs as a serialized story across two seasons of twelve episodes in total, with the first season airing in 2025 and the show still on the air. Its tone is taut and paranoid, grounded and brooding, with the mistrust of a secret world at its core. Fans of Homeland, The Americans and Berlin will find resonance in its intelligence-agency intrigue and moral ambiguity. The show is intense and adult, with rough violence and strong language.
