## Synopsis

Far Away (2024-present) is a Turkish national-television serialized family drama created by Gülizar Irmak for Kanal D. Alya Albora (Sinem Ünsal) arrives in Mardin with her late husband's funeral and their five-year-old son, intending only to fulfill his final wish, but she soon finds herself held in place by his powerful clan. Cihan Albora (Ozan Akbaba), the clan's head, refuses to let her take the child and leave, and their wary, charged dealings drive the series forward. Around them, Gonca Cilasun as Sadakat Albora and Müfit Kayacan as Ecmel Albora embody the family's rival loyalties and quiet schemes. The engine is simple and relentless: Alya's wish to escape with her son against a household that treats its bloodline as law. Episodes are built from family confrontations, buried secrets and the pressures of a harsh regional landscape, and the story unfolds as one continuing arc across three seasons and ninety-eight episodes. The tone is intense and melodramatic, with dread and emotional stakes running high, while the setting gives the drama a grounded, weighty texture. Viewers who enjoy Kurtlar Vadisi and Dynasty for their clan rivalries and soapy power plays will find a similar pull here, with the added weight of a place and culture that shape every choice.
