## Synopsis

Irish Blood (2025) is a Canadian mystery drama series created by Molly McGlynn. Hot-shot Los Angeles divorce lawyer Fiona Fox (Alicia Silverstone) receives a letter from her estranged father and sets out to uncover the mystery of his disappearance. Her search pulls her away from the glossy rhythms of her high-stakes practice and back toward family history she had long kept at arm's length. Wendy Crewson plays Mary and Jason O'Mara plays Declan Murphy, two figures whose connections to the past complicate every answer Fiona uncovers. The engine of the show is simple and personal: each clue she chases forces her to confront choices, loyalties, and silences that have shaped her own life. The series runs for a single six-episode season of roughly forty-five minutes per episode, a compact, contained arc rather than a sprawling saga. Its tone is intimate and wry, balancing the sharp professional banter of courtroom-adjacent life with quieter moments of grief and longing. Fans of Better Call Saul, Dead to Me and Ally McBeal will find resonance in its blend of legal polish, emotional unease, and a protagonist caught between competence and vulnerability. The atmosphere is grounded and character-driven, with mystery serving the deeper theme of what it means to reckon with a parent who walked away.
