## Synopsis

900 Days Without Anabel (2024) is a Spanish true crime docuseries produced in Spain and released on Netflix as a three-part limited series. Rather than relying on dramatic reenactment, it follows the abduction of Anabel Segura, a case that held Spain in suspense for 900 days, and builds its story around never-before-heard recordings made by the kidnappers themselves. The engine of each episode is the slow accumulation of evidence: the captors' voices, the family's long wait, and the investigators' attempts to close in on a hidden captive while the public follows every new development. Each episode runs about fifty-one minutes, so the series moves briskly through a long and painful timeline without losing its grip on the human stakes. The tone is sober, tense, and intimate, with a steady unease that comes from hearing the perpetrators speak in their own words. Its setting is modern Spain, where the case unfolded in the national press over nearly three years. Viewers who appreciate the investigative patience of The Staircase and the procedural weight of Making a Murderer will find a similar blend of archival immediacy and moral discomfort here.
