## Synopsis

Cromañón: The Night of the Fire (2024) is an Argentine limited series created for Prime Video, a serious drama miniseries running eight episodes of roughly thirty-eight minutes each. It follows Malena (Olivia Nuss), a 22-year-old who survived the 2004 fire at the República de Cromañón rock venue that killed 194 young people. Four years later, in 2008, a fresh news event pulls her back toward the people and past loves tied to that night, including Nico (Toto Rovito) and Lucas (José Giménez-Zapiola). Her engine is the struggle to overcome the guilt of being alive while the people around her try to move on. Each episode weaves present-day confrontations with fragments of the disaster, giving the story an intimate, emotionally raw texture rather than a spectacle of catastrophe. The tone is melancholic and tender, with grief, friendship and romance held in tension. Its focus on a real tragedy and its aftermath gives it the weight of a true-events drama. Viewers who appreciate the grief-soaked intimacy of Chernobyl or the survivor-focused emotional drama of The Leftovers will find resonance here.
