## Synopsis

Please Teacher! is a Japanese animated romantic comedy series with a single season of twelve short episodes, produced by Bandai Visual in 2002. High school student Kei Kusanagi, who lives with his aunt and uncle, becomes entangled with an alien who has taken a job as his new teacher, Mizuho Kazami. When he is forced to marry her to keep her secret, his ordinary school life turns into a steady run of awkward, romantic complications. Each episode is built around fresh romantic problems among a cast that includes Koishi Herikawa and Ichigo Morino, with love triangles and jealous rivals driving the comedy. Set in a present-day high school in Nagano, Japan, the show has a light, breezy and warmly sincere register, with flirtatious banter and sci-fi silliness layered over everyday school life. Its appeal is easygoing and comforting, suited to viewers who want playful, low-stakes romance and familiar anime tropes. Fans of Love Hina, Urusei Yatsura and Ah! My Goddess will find familiar territory in this alien-tinged romantic comedy.
