## Synopsis

The Brilliant Healer's New Life in the Shadows (2025-present) is a Japanese animated fantasy comedy series produced by Makaria and Shochiku for TOKYO MX and BS11, shown as a 12-episode season. Zenos, a self-taught healer from the slums who was banished from the palace as useless, opens a secret clinic in the city's shadows. He treats the sick and the desperate without a license, and his unmatched magic quickly makes him a legend in the underworld. The engine of the show is simple and satisfying: each episode presents a new patient, a new wrong to right, and a new way for Zenos to outwit the officials who cast him out. Supporting voices include Lily (Miharu Hanai), Carmilla (Yoko Hikasa) and Lynga (Mashiro Hitaka), who orbit his shadowy practice. Its tone is brisk and defiant, with a playful comedic streak that keeps the medical scenes light while the underdog triumph stays front and center. Set in a fantasy city with elves, criminal networks and a palace that cannot ignore him, it has the feel of a dark-hero isekai with a wry sense of humor. Fans of Hell's Paradise, Kusuriya no Hitorigoto and Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation will find resonance in its blend of outsider heroics, healing magic and anime fantasy spectacle.
