## Synopsis

Mrs. Garcia and Her Daughters (2024-2025) is a Mexican telenovela created by José Alberto Castro for Las Estrellas. Ofelia García (María Sorté) is the determined mother at the heart of the story, and her daughters Valeria (Oka Giner) and Mar (Ela Velden) are the young women she is fighting to protect from poverty and to lift toward a better life. Her engine is simple and fierce: she wants her daughters to see their dreams realized, and she will push through every obstacle to give them the highest standard of living the family can reach. Principal characters include Luis Portilla (Guillermo García Cantú), Cecilia de Portilla (Laura Flores) and Juan Chávez (Álex Perea), whose romantic and social entanglements cut across class lines and tangle the family's path. The series runs as a single complete season of 82 episodes, each about 44 minutes, and is built on the sustained, continuing melodrama typical of the form. Its tone is heartfelt, emotionally heightened and romantic, with the sacrifices of motherhood and the ache of wanting more at its core. Set in contemporary Mexico, it is a story of family loyalty, ambition and class tension. Fans of Yo soy Betty, la fea and Rosalinda will find resonance in its telenovela warmth and mother-centered family drama.
