## Synopsis

Entourage (2004-2011) is an American premium cable comedy-drama created by Doug Ellin for HBO. Film star Vince Chase (Adrian Grenier) and his childhood friends Eric Murphy (Kevin Connolly), Johnny 'Drama' Chase (Kevin Dillon), and Turtle (Jerry Ferrara) ride his rising fame through the excess of Los Angeles. Their fiercely loyal agent Ari Gold (Jeremy Piven) hustles deals and fixes messes at every turn, which keeps the group's ambitions and loyalties in constant tension. Episodes are built from parties, auditions, film sets, and the friends' romantic misadventures, with the stakes always framed by the money and status of the entertainment industry. The series runs eight seasons as a serialized comedy-drama with a loose ongoing story, and its tone mixes brash humor with affectionate warmth and a gently wistful look at the cost of an ambitious lifestyle. Set in present-day Beverly Hills and Hollywood, it is a sun-soaked portrait of a wealthy, vapid world. Fans of Curb Your Enthusiasm, Episodes, and The Larry Sanders Show will find resonance in its satirical view of celebrity and its sharp, character-driven comedy.
