## Synopsis

Film Club (2025) is a British comedy drama created by Aimee Lou Wood and Ralph Davis for BBC Three. Aimee Lou Wood plays Evie, a young woman who has stayed indoors for six months after a panic-driven 'wobble', and her escape is a weekly Friday night ritual with her best friend Noa, played by Nabhaan Rizwan. Each episode revolves around a themed evening in which Evie transforms the garage into the world of a chosen film, dressing the space and spending uninterrupted hours in the company of the one friend who still turns up. The engine of the story is the slow, careful work of rebuilding a life beyond four walls, complicated when Noa announces a dream job that will take him across the country and end the ritual they built. Suranne Jones and Adam Long appear as part of the wider family and social circle, and Liv Hill and Owen Cooper round out the supporting cast. Running for six half-hour episodes, this is a compact, single-season limited series rather than a long-running saga. The tone is tender and funny, with warmth and romance threaded through a bittersweet undercurrent of loss. Its quiet, intimate register will appeal to viewers who enjoyed Fleabag, Catastrophe and Shrinking for their mix of humor, vulnerability and friendship at the center of a small domestic world.
