## Synopsis

Blood+ (2005-2006) is a Japanese animated supernatural action series created for TBS and produced by Production I.G, a Japanese anime production that anchors its tradition. Saya Otonashi, a high school senior who cannot remember her past, is the protagonist, voiced by Eri Kitamura, with Katsuyuki Konishi as Haji and Hiroyuki Yoshino as Kai Miyagusuku among the principal voices. Her search for who she truly is drives the story, and every episode pushes her closer to the truth about her destiny while she battles chiropteran vampires that threaten the people she cares about. The series unfolds across a single fifty-episode run, a serialized arc in which hidden organizations, betrayals, and rivalries gradually surface beneath an ordinary modern life. Its bloody swordplay and gore give the action real weight, while the emotional core rests on memory, loyalty, and self-discovery. The tone is dark, propulsive, and melancholic, with a bittersweet pull toward its ending. Fans of Hellsing Ultimate, Claymore, and Vampire Hunter D will find resonance in its blend of supernatural menace and katana-driven heroism.
