## Synopsis

The First Night with the Duke is a Korean romantic fantasy series created for KBS2. Seohyun plays Cha Seon-taek, who is reincarnated as a minor character inside a novel, and TAECYEON plays Prince Kyungsung, the man with whom she unexpectedly spends a night, sparking an intense and unexpected romance. Her engine is simple and comic: she wants to survive a story she half remembers and steer her own fate away from the tragic role she has been given, while the prince and the people around him keep pulling her into new trouble. The series runs as a single season, a self-contained romantic arc built from episode-by-episode mishaps, court intrigue, and escalating misunderstandings. The setting is a royal palace world drawn from a novel, giving the story a period-costume flavor with fantasy stakes. Its tones are playful and hopeful, with sincere romantic beats tempered by wit and warmth. Fans of Crash Landing on You and other Korean romance dramas, along with viewers who enjoy transmigration fantasies, will find a familiar appeal here.
