## Synopsis

Public Disorder (2025) is an Italian crime drama series created by Carlo Bonini and Filippo Gravino for Netflix. Adapted from the novel and film ACAB, it follows a riot police squad in contemporary Rome after a demonstration turns fateful. Veteran officer Mazinga (Marco Giallini) leads a unit whose members, including Michele Nobili (Adriano Giannini) and Marta Sarri (Valentina Bellè), struggle to keep their dangerous work from consuming their private lives. Across six hour-long episodes, the engine of the show is the strain on loyalty and conscience when every street confrontation carries the risk of injury, scandal, or a broken home. Pressure builds through tense patrols, tangled friendships, and the unforgiving politics of the force. The tone is gritty, raw, and morally uneasy, with a handheld urban realism that lingers on the bruises of both officers and protesters. Fans of The Shield and Gomorra will find resonance in its portrait of institutional pressure and the human cost of policing a city in turmoil. The single season runs six episodes and ends with a bittersweet, grounded register.
