## Synopsis

Black Warrant (2025) is an Indian crime drama limited series created by Vikramaditya Motwane and Satyanshu Singh for Netflix. Set against the grim walls of Tihar Jail in New Delhi, the story follows an upright officer who accepts a post inside the prison after witnessing cold-blooded corruption there, and who vows to make amends for what he has seen. Zahan Kapoor plays Sunil Kumar Gupta, a central figure in the unfolding conflict, while Rahul Bhat plays DSP Rajesh Tomar and Sidhant Gupta plays the notorious criminal Charles Sobhraj. Across seven episodes of roughly forty-five minutes each, the series builds its engine from the daily friction of a crumbling institution, where guards, officials and inmates trade favours, threats and secrets. Its tone is tense, bleak and procedural, with a quiet moral undercurrent that keeps returning to the cost of complicity. Produced by Applause Entertainment and Andolan Films, it is a serialized, self-contained run that will appeal to viewers of gritty prison dramas and true crime. Fans of Sacred Games and Oz will find resonance in its layered corruption and its uneasy portrait of justice inside an unforgiving system.
