## Synopsis

Betrothed to My Sister's Ex (2025) is a Japanese animated romance series produced by LandQ Studios and Pierrot, adapted from a light novel and broadcast on MBS, TBS and CBC. Across a single twelve-episode season, the story follows Marie, the second daughter of a poor baron's household, who is treated like a servant by her parents while her glamorous elder sister Anastasia receives all the attention. Marie's life turns when Count Kyros Granado falls for her at first sight, only to propose to Anastasia through a misunderstanding. After a tragic accident, Marie finds herself marrying the count instead, and the series builds its engine from her cautious adjustment to a household that has never valued her and from the count's steady, earnest devotion. Each episode is made of small domestic frictions, social slights among the aristocracy, and gradually warming exchanges between the couple. The tone is sweet, gentle and wistful, with comic touches and a hopeful undercurrent. Viewers who enjoy josei-leaning romance, cinderella style reversals and doting noble romance will find resonance here, in the vein of My Happy Marriage and Ascendance of a Bookworm.
