## Synopsis

The Best Heart Attack of My Life (2025) is an Argentine dark comedy drama miniseries created by Pablo E. Bossi and released on Disney+. Alan Sabbagh plays Ariel, a scandalous ghostwriter whose marriage collapses and who suffers a heart attack while staying in a rented house in another country, alongside a young woman he has just met, Eleonora Wexler's Isabel. Rita Cortese plays Roberta, and Imanol Arias appears as El Yayo, among a supporting ensemble that gathers around the protagonist as his life begins to come apart and then reorganize. The engine of the show is a compulsive, overweight smoker's reluctant self-examination, with every episode turning on the small humiliations, sudden tenderness and bad decisions that follow a medical emergency. Adapted from a novel and told across six roughly 36-minute episodes, it is a single continuous story rather than a case-of-the-week format. The tone mixes wry, self-mocking humor with melancholy and a hopeful undertow, and the setting moves between Buenos Aires life and the unfamiliar foreign town where the crisis hits. Fans of Fleabag and Shameless will find resonance in its bleak, funny portrait of a middle-aged man confronting mortality and regret.
