## Synopsis

Bon Appétit, Your Majesty (2025) is a South Korean tvN miniseries created by Jang Tae-yoo and produced by Studio Dragon. Across a single twelve-episode season of roughly eighty-minute installments, talented modern chef Yeon Ji-young (Yoona) is pulled back in time to the Joseon dynasty, where her inventive dishes captivate the temperamental King Yi Heon (Lee Chae-min). Her goal is to survive the royal court and carve out a future for herself, while every meal she prepares becomes a test of politics, rivalry and courtly favor. Supporting characters include Queen Dowager Inju (Seo Yi-sook) and Prince Jesan (Choi Gwi-hwa), whose schemes complicate her position. The story moves through kitchen competition energy and palace intrigue, blending a light, amusing romance with historical drama. Its tone stays warm and playful, with a sweetly sparkling chemistry between the leads. Fans of Jewel in the Palace, The Crowned Clown and Mr. Sunshine will find resonance in its mix of period setting, romance and fish-out-of-water comedy. A breezy, endearing k-drama for viewers who enjoy food and royal intrigue alike.
