## Synopsis

Secrets of the Silent Witch (2025) is a Japanese animated fantasy series adapted from a light novel, produced by Studio Gokumi and aired across Gunma TV, TOKYO MX, BS11 and Tochigi TV. Its shy protagonist is Monica Everett, the Silent Witch and one of the Seven Sages, voiced by Saya Aizawa, a gifted mage who casts spells without chanting and would rather be left alone. Her quiet life ends when Louis Miller, the Barrier Mage voiced by Junichi Suwabe, delivers the king's order that she infiltrate a prestigious school for nobles to protect the second prince. Hitomi Nabatame voices Nero, adding a lighter presence to the story. The engine of the series is Monica's struggle to keep her identity hidden while navigating classmates, rivalries and social expectations that terrify her, with each episode built around a fresh undercover challenge. Across a single thirteen-episode season, the show plays out as an accessible, gentle shoujo fantasy set in a magical kingdom with the feel of a royal academy. Its tone is cozy, sincere and quietly funny, with a warm heart for an introverted heroine. Fans of Ascendance of a Bookworm, Mushoku Tensei and The Rising of the Shield Hero will find familiar pleasures in its reluctant prodigy, magic school setting and fantasy world.
