## Synopsis

Goosebumps: The Vanishing (2025) is an American supernatural horror miniseries created by Rob Letterman and Nicholas Stoller for Hulu and Disney+. Twins Devin and Cece (Sam McCarthy and Jayden Bartels) are sent to spend a summer in Gravesend, Brooklyn with their divorced dad, scientist Anthony Brewer (David Schwimmer). Pulled into the neighborhood's secrets, they band together with new friends including C.J. Lewis (Elijah M. Cooper) and Alex Diaz (Francesca Noel) to face a long-dormant threat that has been waiting in the community. The engine is simple and propulsive: kids who must find the source of strange happenings before the neighborhood pays the price, with each episode of this single-season run building suspense through creepy local mysteries and absurd, playful monsters. Adapted from the Goosebumps children's horror books, the eight-episode series sits in the tradition of young-adult supernatural mystery, with a summertime setting in 1960s-tinged neighborhood nostalgia. Its tone is spooky but warm, blending eerie scares with humor and heart. Fans of Stranger Things, Goosebumps (2015) and The Goldbergs will find resonance in its mix of kid heroes, monsters and nostalgia.
