## Synopsis

My Family (2025-2026) is an Italian family comedy-drama series created by Filippo Gravino for Netflix. Fausto (Eduardo Scarpetta) is a terminally ill father who must prepare his loud, quarrelsome household to look after his two young children and to live on without him. Lucia (Vanessa Scalera) and Valerio (Massimiliano Caiazzo) are among the relatives whose old grudges resurface as the family is pushed to gather around him. Across two seasons of six episodes each, the engine of the show is the practical work of readying a family for loss: arranging care, negotiating who will step up, and forcing long-buried resentments into the open before time runs out. Each episode mixes sharp domestic squabbles with tender moments, so the tone stays bittersweet, funny one moment and aching the next. The show has the warm, noisy texture of Italian family life and a grounded, present-day realism. Fans of This Is Us and Six Feet Under will find resonance in its blend of humor, grief and reconciliation around a dying patriarch.
