## Synopsis

Magical DoReMi (1999-2004) is a Japanese magical girl anime series created by Toei Animation and broadcast on TV Asahi. Elementary school student Doremi Harukaze (voiced by Chiemi Chiba) leads a small circle of friends, including Hazuki Fujiwara (Tomoko Akiya) and Aiko Senō (Yuki Matsuoka), who secretly train as witch apprentices while keeping up their ordinary school lives. Her magical mentor Lala (Megumi Takamura) and the apprentice-training demands push the girls to balance spells, homework, classmates and family troubles. Each episode is largely self-contained, built around a small everyday problem that the girls try to solve with a magical twist, and the series spans five seasons and 214 episodes across its run. The tone stays cheerful, warm and whimsical, with gentle comedy and a steady emphasis on loyalty and growing up. Its atmosphere is cozy and nostalgic, set in a recognizable contemporary Japanese town rather than a fantasy realm. Fans of Sailor Moon, Little Witch Academia and Crayon Shin-chan will find the same blend of childhood wonder and friendship.
