## Synopsis

Hunter with a Scalpel (2025) is a South Korean crime thriller series created for Disney+ and U+ Mobile TV, a single-season limited series of sixteen episodes. Forensic investigator Seo Se-hyeon (Park Ju-hyun) is a prominent female medical examiner whose antisocial personality disorder makes her coolly precise at reading corpses and hunting killers, but also leaves her dangerously detached from the people around her. Her own buried past, the father she killed, begins to resurface and threatens both her honor and her life. Park Yong-woo as Yoon Jo-gyun and Kang Hoon as Jeong Jeong-hyeon anchor the investigative and personal entanglements that press in around her. The engine of each episode is the tension between the scalpel-steady case work and the lies she must maintain to keep her secret safe. The series unfolds as one continuing story rather than a case-of-the-week format, with serial killer pursuit and a slow tightening of her private world. Its tone is darkly engrossing and often gruesome, with cold, clinical atmosphere and a steady undercurrent of dread. Fans of Mouse, Hannibal and The Killing will find resonance in its forensic setting, morally compromised investigator and psychological menace. Set in contemporary South Korea, it is a clinical, unsettling k-drama built around a fractured professional mind.
